Does your weight dictate your dating life? It depends … For those who are marginally heavier than normal, the few extra pounds make no difference to your social or dating life. However, if you tip the scale at 220lb or more, it’s a whole new ball game! Besides looking like a walking oil drum, chances are your dating life will also be severely impacted by your size !
We’ve all seen obese people before, were probably one at some point of our life or are still fat! What does being FAT feels like ? One word sums it all – DEPRESSING ! Not only do you look huge, nothing fits! And even if it DOES fit, it doesn’t look good! So, end of the day, you’ll end up feeling extremely self conscious and shy away from being in public. Worse of all is, being fat or obese, puts a huge dent in our self confidence. That is sad since self confidence is the little bit of something, the “oomph” that adds character to your personality. Without it or lack of it, we are nothing but a pale shadow of ourselves.
A simple illustration is of how looks as in weight in this particular movie and attraction are interlinked can be seen in the movie Shallow Hal. In this movie, Hal fell head over heels in love with obese Rosemary after an impromptu hypnosis session but had a rude shock when he “woke up” and saw the obese Rosemary. On the contrary, look at how much self confidence, Rosemary gained when she was basking in Hal’s “love” and how shattered she was when she realized that he loved her because he thought that she was slim and beautiful !
Well, you may say… Yeah, I’m FAT! So, what ? Sumo wrestlers are fat too. In fact they look just like a glob of fat and yet many of them are not short of female companions and some even married gorgeous women. However, you cannot dismiss the fact that Sumo wrestlers are considered a privilege lot in Japan, they are idolized! As such they have 2Fs advantage over the average obese Joe. The 2Fs are Fame and Fortune – an irresistible combination that attracts women like moth to fire !
BUT if you are without the 2Fs, take a long look in the mirror and ask yourself, if I’m her, would I go out with me ? Let’s look at a hypothetical situation, 2 guys are interested in the same girl, all factors are the same except that one is fat and the other fit. Don’t have to be a genius to know the outcome of this dating game… So, are you still convinced that being fat will not diminish your chances of getting a hot date ?
If you have met your dream girl but lack the confidence to chat her up because you think she would response negatively due to the fact that you are overweight, then do what I did! Although, I am not grossly overweight; I am what is usually referred to as plump, I figured I need to lose some weight in order to look better and feel better and fare better with members of the opposite sex… 😉
Tipping the scales at 80kg, I decided that I need to shed some fat before I hit the dating scene again. To be honest, it wasn’t an easy decision since I was pretty comfortable with the fat me and love food too much to even contemplate starving myself. After browsing around, I came across this website: Burn The Fat setup by a bodybuilder who invented BFFM system as opposed to “fad” diets for you to lose weight. The plan is based on the simple philosophy that you should eat less calories, do a reasonable amount of exercise and pronto! You should lose weight !
If your New Year resolution is to get in shape, take action! See a brand new you for this brand new year. Personally, I can’t resist this offer and have signed up and am looking forward to losing a few pounds.
Will keep you posted on my progress !
Wish I had the answer you want. truth is you’ve got to be prrpeaed to stick at a new way of living permanently otherwise you will just join the thousands that yo-yo, losing a bit then sticking it back on.All the fad diets and exercise trends are short lived and so is the weight loss that comes with them. The truth is that our modern lifestyles just don’t fit with our body programs. Our bodies like to conserve energy and store any excess as fat. it comes from the times when food was not so plentiful and we all had a lifestyle that burned calories. Now we eat processed food the manufacturers stuff the food with additives, sugar and fat to make it taste good and set up an addictive cycle getting you to crave more.Food is plentiful and eating is part of our social lifeWe drive everywhere and most of our work is not so physical. The result is we pile on excess pounds and find it difficult to lose itTry to change by choosing fresh food whenever possible. Cut down your portion sizes it helps to get a smaller plate. Reduce the amount of sugar you eat. Try to eat your biggest meal at lunch-time so that you don’t go to bed and spend the night converting all those calories into fat. If you are feeling hungry between meals have a glass of water and wait a while. often we mistake thirst for hunger. If you still feel hungry after half an hour go for something healthy fruit is goodTake exercise regularly. Brisk walking is great, but you could take up the gym or swimming or join a sports club. Our bodies will try to find a way to carry out any exercise using the least calories. you can beat this by mixing it up. Try to alter the exercise you do each day and vary the intensity. Start off moderate then do a burst of really hard then go back to moderate. This will maximise the calories you burn and raise your metabolic rate so you go on burning after you stop exercising. The most important thing is to stick at it. you will look and feel great when you start losing weight
