It is very easy to find a conversation starters. A good place to start when you are trying to figure out how to start a conversation is to look at her and tries to spot if she is wearing or carrying anything unusual. It could be that she is wearing a T-shirt that has this very interesting caption scrawled in front or if she is wearing a funky, eye catching accessory, start the conversation by commenting on the interesting T-shirt or the eye catching piece.
I once met a woman who had her head shaved and she was wearing this T-shirt that had the words “God Made Few Perfect Heads, On the Rest He Put Hair!” scrawled in front in bold colors. This T-shirt would make a very good conversation started especially since she shaved her head too; sort of trying to make a statement here, don’t you think?
These types of conversation starters are great in the sense that it shows that you are:-
- someone who is observant
- someone who has a sense of humor
- someone who knows how to have fun
- it catches her attention
- it usually catches her off guard as she is used to hearing lame pickup lines
- it can be used almost anywhere
- most of all it is unique
- and women love it when you start a conversation this way
Here’s an example of how you start a conversation:
Example:
You are in a bank to get a bank draft and today there’s an unusually long queue due to the fact that the computers are having some down time. In front of you is this really hot looking lady and she is wearing this very delicate looking bead bracelet that looks very lovely and classy.
You noticed that the bracelet matched her outfit and after mentally composing the conversation in your head, you proceeded to start a conversation with her. “Very pretty bracelet you have there and it matches your outfit too. Would you mind telling me where you got it from? I think my sis will love it too.
“It’s pretty, isn’t it? It’s a gift from a friend from her recent trip to New Zealand. Well, it’s actually my favorite bracelet. I just love the color and its unique design. All the beads are hand made and each are not the exact same match. There’s actually a story behind this bracelet. The story is printed on the gift box, can’t quite remember it though. I’ve yet to see anything quite like this being sold here, so you’d have to take a trip to New Zealand if you want to buy this for your sis. And that would make it a very expensive gift!” she says with a hint of humor in her voice.
“Wow! Now that would be expensive! By the way, I’m Brad.” I introduced myself. “I’m Tanya.” she smiled as we shook hands.
Let’s dissect this conversation, shall we?
Brad started the conversation by showing interest and also complimenting her at the same time on her bracelet. After getting her attention, he got her to talk by asking her the origin of the bracelet, where she got it from. Judging from her animated answer, it’s obvious that he had asked the right question.
Noticed how he informed her of his intent to buy the same bracelet for his sis. This statement is meant to achieve two objectives. First is to subtly put forth to her that he is available since he wouldn’t be getting the bracelet for his sis if at present he is dating another woman. Secondly, he is also impressing upon her that he is a giving and thoughtful person. Therefore by starting this conversation he had achieved the goal of getting her attention and sparking an interest in her.
